The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco takes this opportunity to say “thank you” and “farewell” to Thomaida Hudanish, who has most capably served the Metropolis Missions and Evangelism Ministry since 2014.
Thomaida continued the good works of her predecessors, Catherine Lingas and Father Theodore Dorrance, all of whom shared this same commitment to growing Orthodoxy in America and spreading our faith. The guiding principle of the Missions and Evangelism Ministry can be found in The Great Commission where Christ tells us, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19 – 20).
“Thomaida has been an integral member of Metropolis leadership team, and I am grateful for her dedication to this ministry which is so vital to the growth of our faith. We will miss the energy and enthusiasm she brought to her efforts, and the way she connected with our parishes to assist them in outreach and evangelism,” remarked His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos. “The Metropolis remains committed to continuing the efforts of the Missions and Evangelism ministry, supporting the growth and development of our mission parishes and spreading Orthodoxy throughout the west.”
We wish Thomaida all of God’s blessings as she embarks on a new chapter in her life!
