The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco is thrilled to welcome the Metropolis youth back home for another incredible summer at our Metropolis Summer Camp 2023 at Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center in Dunlap, CA.
Summer Camp at Saint Nicholas Ranch has a rich tradition, dating back to the early 1980's and is grounded on the principals of living a true Orthodox lifestyle. We have daily liturgical services, opportunities for reflection, and confession. Daily activity rotations include arts and crafts, aquatics, Orthodox Life, athletics, faith and culture, fishing, canoeing, archery, an opportunity to visit the adjacent Monastery of the Theotokos the Life-Giving Spring, and camp-wide evening activities.
There will be three Summer Camp sessions offered for campers ages 8 (entering Third Grade in the Fall 2023) through age 18 (or graduating high school in the spring 2023).
- Session I: Sunday, July 9 – Saturday, July 15, 2023
- Session II: Sunday, July 16 – Saturday, July 22, 2023
- Session III: Sunday, July 23 – Saturday, July 29, 2023
Early Registration will open on February 12 through February 28 and is $625 per camper. Regular registration will begin on March 1 – May 31 and is $650 per camper. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to register. You can set up a payment plan for the remaining balance, but all payments must be made in full by June 1, 2023.

If you are 19 years of age or older and want to make a difference in the lives of youth, then you should consider applying to a Summer Camp staff member. Applications are being accepted now through March 18! Work with a close-knit team of Orthodox Christians and spread the joy of our faith with campers. Staff Orientation will be held Monday, July 3 – Saturday, July 8. It’s a great time for team building and training, and sets the tone for a fulfilling experience for staff and campers.
