Registration is open for the 16th Annual Metropolis of San Francisco Young Adult Winter Retreat in Lake Tahoe, January 14 – 17, 2022. The theme for the retreat is “Citizens of the Desert: Embracing our Role as Christian Witnesses to our World” with guest speaker Thomaida Hudanish.

This beautiful retreat setting is a private retreat center on the shore of Lake Tahoe with spectacular views, incredible food, and awesome accommodations! The weekend will be full of fun, faith, and fellowship with Orthodox young adults from across the Archdiocese. COVID-19 Precautions and Protocols

  • Within 72 hours prior to arrival at the Young Adult Retreat, all attendees must obtain a COVID-19 PCR test and upload a copy of their Negative result to their CampDoc profile. If you are not able to upload the document, you can present it upon arrival at registration. This is required regardless of vaccination status.
  • If you arrive and do not have your test results, you will be directed to the nearest urgent care facility for testing at your own expense. Your admission to the retreat will be delayed until such time a negative test result is received.
  • Please bring a valid Government issued photo identification card (Driver’s License or Passport).
  • Attendees are asked to bring a personal face covering. Personal face covering will be required during all indoor activities such as church services and during speaker sessions. Attendees are strongly urged to wear a mask for their own personal protection and that of those around them during the retreat weekend.
  • All attendees must abide by the guidance or requirements of the Federal, State, and Local health authorities, and/or Galilee Episcopal Retreat Center, and/or the Metropolis.
  • All participants are encouraged to avoid large gatherings and wear a personal face covering 10 days prior to attending the retreat as best practice in order to ensure your health and the wellbeing of those around you.
  • Prior to travel, please check your temperature and confirm that you do not have a fever. Do not travel if you have a fever.
  • Please stay home and do not travel if you have recently been diagnosed with, are currently experiencing symptoms of, or have been in close contact with someone who has had COVID-19 in the past 10 days. If the above applies to you, the CDC recommends quarantining.
