It’s time to start planning for the Mission to America campaign in
support of the Missions and Evangelism Ministry of the Greek
Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco. This year’s campaign, which runs
from Pascha to Pentecost (May 2 – June 20) will fund tangible projects
at each of our six mission parishes:
- Maui, Hawaii
- Pasco, Washington
- Roseburg, Oregon
- Salem, Oregon
- Flagstaff, Arizona
- Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Learn more about these projects during the campaign. Additionally the
Missions and Evangelism Ministry is preparing an annual online book
study of Growing Young by Kara Powell, and a portal for sharing your journey to and within Orthodoxy through audio interviews. Learn more at www.GrowOrthodoxy.org and follow the Missions and Evangelism Ministry on Facebook and Instagram @groworthodoxy for updates along the way.
The mission of the Metropolis Missions and Evangelism Ministry is to
educate, equip, and engage clergy and laity in evangelism and mission
in the Orthodox Christian Tradition. This ministry was first established
in the Metropolis in 1991, helping establish more than 20 new parishes,
guiding their growth and development, and providing spiritual
nourishment for people seeking to find Christ. Mission to America is the
new theme that replaces former iterations of the campaign, including
Pennies and Prayers, Mochas for Missions, and most recently, Missions
Possible. New theme; same work to support evangelism in our Metropolis.
