The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is excited to announce that Staff Applications for the 2025 Metropolis Summer Camp at St. Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center will officially open on Friday, December 6, 2024, in honor of the Feast Day of St. Nicholas. This is an incredible opportunity for faithful and motivated young adults to make a meaningful impact on the lives of campers while gaining valuable leadership and teamwork experience.

2025 Metropolis Summer Camp Dates

Staff Orientation Week: June 30 - July 5

  • Session 1: July 6 - 12
  • Session 2: July 13 - 19
  • Session 3: July 20 - 26

Camper registration will open February 1, 2025.

About Summer Camp 2025

Our Metropolis Summer Camp offers a dynamic, faith-based program for youth ages 8-18, focused on fostering spiritual growth, community, and fun in a supportive and engaging environment. Campers and staff will participate in outdoor activities, daily services, creative projects, and meaningful discussions, while creating lifelong memories at our beloved St. Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center in Dunlap, CA.

We’re hiring for a variety of roles, including:

  • Cabin Counselors
  • Program Staff
  • Photographers
  • Lifeguards
  • Medical Staff

How to Apply

Applications will be available online starting December 6, 2024. Applicants are encouraged to apply early, as positions fill quickly. The application deadline is March 1, 2025.

Staff Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older by the start of camp.
  • Uphold and exemplify the values, teachings, and traditions of the Orthodox Faith in all aspects of personal and camp life.
  • Commit to creating a faith-centered environment that supports campers in deepening their Christian faith and spiritual growth.
  • Passionate about serving youth and creating a positive experience for them.
  • Dedicated to ensuring camper safety and spiritual well-being as the highest priority.
  • Understand the importance of being a role model with a lasting positive impact on campers.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to teamwork, including following the chain of command and working collaboratively under challenging circumstances.
  • Meet the Youth Worker standards of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, including passing a background check every two years, completing annual youth protection training, and completing the live scan fingerprinting.
