A range of practical suggestions and experiences will be shared to assist our parishes with increasing engagement and stewardship.

Joseph Kormos
For the past twenty years Joseph Kormos has focused on stimulating Orthodox parishes to become healthy, hopeful, vibrant, 21st century Orthodox communities that grow in their commitment to living a life in Christ.
Leveraging 40+ years of industry and church related experience in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, corporate consulting, group facilitation, and conference planning, Joseph is currently leader of the Parish Development Ministry of the Orthodox Church in America’s Archdiocese of Western Pennsylvania. In this position he develops and presents workshops, authors a parish leadership newsletter (Parish Pulse) and helps to create parish tools for stewardship, evangelization, parish administration and leading change.
Joseph lives in Cincinnati with his wife of 47 years. He is currently the parish choir director. Their two children and eight grandchildren are all active Orthodox Christians.
Rev. Father James Kordaris
Father James Kordaris serves the Director of Stewardship, Outreach & Evangelism for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Before entering the seminary, he served in many capacities at his home parish of St. Mary’s in Minneapolis under the leadership of Rev. Father Anthony Coniaris. He served six years on the Parish Council including two years as President. He also served the parish as Bible Study leader, camp counselor, Festival Co-Chair, Stewardship Chair and more.
Fr Jim has BA and MBA degrees from the University of Minnesota. Following twelve years in the financial services industry, he entered Holy Cross, receiving his Master of Divinity degree. Following his ordination, he served parishes
in Jamaica, NY and Roslyn Heights, NY. In January of 2003, Father Jim was appointed Director of the new Archdiocese Department of Outreach & Evangelism. In 2009 Stewardship Ministry was added to his responsibilities.
Father Jim served as pastor of Saint George Church on West 54th Street in New York City from 2004 to 2018. In 2018, he requested and received assignment to Saint George Church in Kingston, New York.
