The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries will present a Young Adult Fall Retreat from Friday, October 4 – Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center in Dunlap, CA. Join with other Orthodox young adults from throughout the west for a weekend of fellowship, prayer and inspiring presentations.

The retreat theme for this year’s Young Adult Fall Retreat is “The Power of Forgiveness” and will feature Rev. Father Nebojsa Pantic as the guest speaker. Father Nebojsa currently serves as the Assistant Priest at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in San Jose, CA. As part of his presentation, Father Nebojsa will explore the depth and meaning of this verse from Psalm 23, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life . . .”

Open to all Orthodox College Students and Young Professionals, ages 18-30’s. Participants should plan to arrive at the Ranch after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. The retreat program will begin that evening at 8:30 p.m. Saturday will offer a full day of presentations and activities, including a work project at the Monastery of the Theotokos the Life-Giving Spring. Our weekend will culminate with Divine Liturgy at the Monastery, followed by breakfast, with the retreat concluding around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6.

There is a NEW optional addition to the retreat – Friday Excursion and Hike Adventure Package. Arrival will be on Thursday, October 3. More details are included below with schedule and pricing.

  • $185 for a Dorm Room (cabins with multiple bunk beds)
  • $225 for Double Occupancy Lodge Room (hotel style room with two queen beds) – each person pays this amount to share a room

Late registration pricing (After September 20, 2024)

  • $200 for a Dorm Room (cabins with multiple bunk beds)

    Retreat registration fees include two nights’ lodging and all meals – Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast.

If you would like to join us on Friday morning for a day excursion and hike to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park, we have put together packages that include a Thursday night stay as well as the additional meals (Thursday Dinner, Friday Breakfast and Lunch and snacks) you will have while part of this extra excursion.

Rev. Fr. Nebojsa Pantic

Assistant Priest at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church

Fr. Nebojsa Pantic serves Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church as the Assistant Priest since 2018. Before joining St. Nicholas, he served the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension in Oakland, CA as an assistant priest, and Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Vallejo, CA as Proistamenos.

Fr. Nebojsa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Hellenic College, and a Master of Divinity degree and a minor in Psychology from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. He also holds an MBA from California State University - Sacramento.

Fr. Nebojsa was born in Serbia (Novi Sad) and grew up in northern Illinois (Gurnee), while also spending time studying abroad in Austria and Greece. He met his wife, Presvytera Stephanie, while attending Hellenic College, and was ordained to priesthood at the Ascension Cathedral (Oakland) in 2010. He and Presvytera Stephanie have two children, Paraskevi (11) and Elias (7).
