If you love to sing and want to improve your voice and your musical offerings to the church, please join the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Church Music Ministry for a one-day workshop: Singing with Joy!

This interactive program will be offered at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 999 Brotherhood Way, San Francisco, CA, on Saturday, November 16 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., followed by Great Vespers. Presenters Anne Schoepp and Ross Ritterman each bring their unique talents to this workshop and participants will have the opportunity to learn so much from their wealth of knowledge in the areas of vocal techniques useful for solo, small group and large ensembles.

Anne Schoepp serves as Protopsaltis and Choir Director at St. Lawrence Orthodox Church in Felton, California. In her private studio, she teaches piano, violin, voice, and conducting. She served on the board of PSALM (Pan-Orthodox Society for the Advancement of Liturgical Music) from 1996-2013, publishing and contributing articles, and organizing events. As a composer and arranger, Ms. Schoepp is passionate about setting text in a way that sings beautifully in English, brings the message to life, and can infuse beauty into the worship in parishes. Her liturgical settings and recordings are available on her website.

Ross Ritterman is the Music Ministry Director, and Propsaltis at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in San Francisco, California. Ross has been involved in Church Music since 2009 having previously led the chanting program at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Belmont, California. He holds a Certificate in Byzantine Music from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA and also leads the Church Music Development team for the Metropolis of San Francisco Music Ministry.
